School, Animal Crossing and Rune Factory 2

Alright, there are a few things I need to blog about, but I'll try to keep it sweet and simple:

a) School
Basically, the F.4 girls had quite a scare on Friday. Basically, what happened was that at the end of lunch, the class teacher came in with a notice from Mrs. B Wong, that all Set A English girls and Additional Math girls were to go to the Chapel and see Mrs. Lau (our headmistress). Now, that usually causes a lot of panic, because if that happens, we usually get *berated* (to put it mildly!) by her. So the concerned party went down, trembling in their shoes (which was put down to cold) and got in the chapel. Later, the English Head went down, stared at the mass of terrified F.4 girls and went "Are you girls Form 4?" and later said "I thought it was Form 5". Later, the F.5 girls came down, and after 15 minutes of tense waiting, the F.4 girls were told that it was the F.5s, not the F.4s.

I have a joy, joy, joy, joy, down in my heart...

b) Animal Crossing: Wild World
Okay, sue me. I don't even KNOW how to pull my red turnips up. But I now have 80,000 Bells. I know it's a small sum, but I just got that game, okay? But I hate you, Tom Nook. Seriously. His mortgages are... *groans* I still am on the 2nd upgrade.

c) Rune Factory 2
Ok, Hong Kong, where is it? The Rune Factory 2? I really, really want to get it now! Particularly the 2nd generation guys too. Orland... *sighs* No, not Orlando Bloom, but looks terrifyingly similar to a certain blond elven prince known as LEGOLAS... though not as friendly. Seemingly.

I'm Leaving DeviantArt

DeviantArt had deleted my Deidara signature. For copyright violation. It was my hard work. I spent ages and ages on it, trying to perfect it, and in a few seconds' worth of time, it's gone.

Bye.
Deleted.
Eliminated.
BANG.

If you go and search "Deidara signature", you'll find plenty of pictures like that too, with Deidara's face on it. However, as I'm a small little potato in this big, big ocean, they haven't deleted anyone else's but MINE. I don't even update frequently.

I found 162 Deidara signatures. Their pictures were pretty much the same for some. The formatting was different. Mine was different too.

I gave the credit back to the artists. I gave the credit back to the manga Naruto. I wouldn't even THINK of stealing the artwork! And guess what? DeviantArt just DELETED it for me.

So I'm leaving DeviantArt, after my brief spell. It was fun, I loved the artwork here, and all the nice responses I got. I might lurk around, but I won't put artwork up here.

I'm just a small potato. I'm not even ARTISTICALLY TALENTED. I can't even DRAW. If you want to find me, go to Fanfiction.net and search for FrozenAndTainted. At least I get a warning before my work gets deleted, and at least people there know that I write pretty well.

Then again, who would read this? Nobody would care. DeviantArt definitely wouldn't. They can delete this all they like. I've got this stuck up on my other blog as well. Like I said, I wouldn't affect anything anyway.

AAAND FINALLY!

Anybody reading this blog play Trauma Center on their NDS console? It was released by Atlus some time ago, and came out in Hong Kong. While I have finally finished the game in a span of a few days, and am ready to move back to my beloved HMDS Cute (56 SPRITES!!! FINALLY!!!). But I must tell you, I've been swearing at my console every couple of seconds due the insanity of these levels. It's hard, and I have to focus on basically EVERYTHING that goes on in the screen. And sometimes, the wounds aren't even onscreen either! You have to use that funny magnification-ultrasound thingy to deal with it. And now, I've finally beaten the bos battle... I tell you, I've never been so satisifed in my life in actually beating a game. Something that's more typical of my brother. But now, I have managed to win the game earlier than he has! That, alone is a miracle, because it's usually he who can beat a game within three weeks, if he feels like it. But it's fun, I grant you.

But Athelia? Curse you for me having to stare at the screen to deal with you as you regenerate all your GUILT respawns and your veins! I think I died at least twice before I realized that I needed to use the Healing Touch to beat the final stage of the game... tell me I'm not the dumbest person on the earth. Did you know that while I was struggling to finish that last stage (and having to restart), there was a FULLY COMPLETE walkthrough on the Internet??? Even though I am supposed to be the best person at computers in my entire family, I failed completely to realize a walkthrough was available...

Anyway, I have to run. I gotta start and try to get the DS from my brother while he plays HIS Trauma Center. I wanna go back to my Skye in HMDSCute before HM: Island of Happiness comes out in Hong Kong... it's not out yet! I wish it could get here faster too... :(

Dragon Addiction

Anybody heard of Dragon Cave at http://dragcave.net/ ? It's a really awesome website where you compete with at least 90 players a day for only three eggs that turn up every five minutes. It's a pretty competitive area, and that means you'll need a very fast internet connection in order to get the egg you want. So far, I've gotten four eggs which hatched, and two more that I got today, but guess what happened to my other white egg... :( I found it on Miss Bimbo, which has been undergoing a major overhaul, and there's quite a lot of controversy. As if the American media hadn't gone enough into that, and as if some of the parents haven't reacted and shown their paranoid side enough. No offence to the parents here - I understand, but seriously, Miss Bimbo has warnings on plastic surgery and stuff. But here's not the place to discuss the pros and cons of Miss Bimbo - not in this post anyway. I'll go on and show a little more in-depth tour of the site maybe in a few more posts later, but not today. I'm lazy like that :P

Look on the other side of the screen. See the half egg over there? Basically, what happened was that it got around 411 unique views in one day... and it died only today. I really, really wanted to keep that, but I was really desperate for it to hatch... maybe I should have taken it slowly... *sniffles* But I'll try and get a new white one... and take it slowly this time. Hopefully my split egg and my sky egg will have more success... here's to the hatching of my dragon eggs!

The Dreamer's Corner Now Up!

I've decided to start a blog dedicated SOLELY to writing stories that I want to write on the Internet. However, the website, known as The Dreamer's Corner, is still undergoing some editing and the story is still in draft mode, so if you want to read it, please be patient :) I'll be listing it eventually once I get round to posting up the story - after my beta reader as beta-read it, anyway.

Thanks.

In Retrospect - Opening Ceremony, 8th August 2008

Well, after sitting for around four hours, making one pavlova successfully (albeit BROWNED) and countless times of getting up for a walk to that my legs don't fall into disuse, I finished watching the Olympic ceremony. Okay, I give it to you - it was YESTERDAY, and today we're seeing swimming, judo (the Korean contestant did an insanely AWESOME move that threw the Austrian guy onto his backside, owned him - and then couldn't stop his waterworks.) and the usual, but I still need to talk about it.

I am, by nationality, Chinese, but that won't stop me from making a few comments about the ceremony. It was impressive, and to some extent innovative - I was particularly impressed by the opening scene where the countdown to the Olympics was generated SOLELY by people pressing on drums which would light up upon touch. It must've taken them forever to rehearse that. The sheer amount of people was staggering as well - I don't remember which part of the entire performance didn't have at least 100+ people. I don't recall the exact number of people involved, but I think it neared at least 10,000. That's crazy. But they were as neat as heck. Scary.

But there is one thing I would like to make note about - there were some parts which were a bit repetitive. Of course, I was sitting by the TV screen as opposed to actually being INSIDE the Bird's Nest stadium, so maybe I couldn't feel the atmosphere. But while the sheer neatness and overwhelming size impressed me, as time went by it became a tad bit too repetitive. I hope none of my country people take offence at this.

And until I have someting else to say about, until later.

7NK - Undoubtedly Fun, but scared me so badly that I didn't dare finish the game

Well, above is a screenshot from Jayisgames.com on a murder mystery game entitled 7NK.
Okay, I could have gotten it off the actual game itself, but after playing the entire Act 1, I got so creeped out by everything in it that I couldn't bring myself do play the game any more. I'm serious.
Well, the game started off alright - the animation was good, the invitation looked alright - and then I entered "The Knell". Whoops. It was all dark and spooky ad creepy with all sorts of scary images - manacles, masks and all that stuff. The music didn't really help much either. When I found an item, it played this sudden "kerrang" sound that startled me, and everything looked gothic. Well, they didn't call it gothic horror for nothing, but I refused to give in to my fears and persisted with my game.
I came to regret it. It just got creepier and creepier by the second, and when I finally got to the first murder, the sound effects were so horrible and the graphics so real that I got really freaked out and didn't dare to play. The walkthrough didn't help much either - it just sounded really gruesome.
Definitely not for the faint hearted, but the graphics were really awesome.
That's all I have to say.
